1 story1 NEWAI Agent Certifier AIUC Raises $40 Million Series A Led by Ribbit Capital AI Sep 15, 10:31 AM EDT 3/3
Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company reached $55 million in total funding following a recent investment round to expand safety certifications and insurance products for enterprise AI agents. The firm provides audits to allow corporations to deploy AI agents with verified safety benchmarks, offering insurance to back certified tools.
Ribbit Capital led the $40 million Series A for the startup, which uses a standard called AIUC-1 that subjects agents to roughly 5,000 tests for data leaks, hallucinations and jailbreaks. The process produces a 100 page audit report and requires quarterly recertification. The standard was shaped by the AIUC Consortium, consisting of about 250 security and risk leaders from Fortune 1000 companies. Founded by former Anthropic product hire Rune Kvist and ex McKinsey partner Rajiv Dattani, the company counts KPMG, UiPath and ElevenLabs among its customers and plans to extend its services to frontier models.
