Users can now manage complex workflows by dividing one conversation into separate execution streams on desktop and web. These parallel cloud sessions, part of a beta release of Projects for Claude Code, allow the AI to maintain progress after the user disconnects or the device goes offline. Access is available today for select Pro and Max users who already utilize cloud sessions.

The system employs a shared memory library to ensure each thread can draw from and contribute to a collective project history. While current sessions are restricted from accessing internal networks or local computer files, Anthropic is developing local workflow support. Users with existing projects will receive the update in a phased rollout to ensure a clean migration of data.
