CEO Liang Wenfeng informed investors that utilizing domestic hardware for artificial intelligence training is now a top priority for DeepSeek. Huawei starts deliveries of training chips as early as the 4th quarter of 2026, with shipments continuing into the 1st quarter of 2027. This transition seeks to maintain development pipelines while bypassing restrictions imposed by U.S. export controls on high-end semiconductors.

The company is currently training an AI model with 2T parameters and plans to eventually build an 8T parameter model. This shift to Huawei silicon represents one of the firm's largest infrastructure bets to ensure long-term access to the compute power required for these scaling goals.
