He argued that extreme doomsday claims are frequently pushed by individuals with political motives or a need for attention rather than actual technical risks.

Huang also apologized for the AI industry expanding data centers without engaging local communities early enough during the construction process. He stated that newer facilities reduce water usage and should provide funding for local power, schools, and roads. These views contrast with warnings from Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, who suggests that rapid advances in the field require more caution and stringent safeguards.
