A series of new alliances allows Meta's personal assistant to execute purchases and travel arrangements independently. The company has integrated its Muse AI agent with Shopify, PayPal, Expedia, and Instacart to enable direct transactions. Muse can now book hotels and plan trips through Expedia, generate grocery orders with Instacart, and complete checkouts via Shop Pay across all Shopify stores and at PayPal merchants worldwide.

This expansion shifts Muse from a conversational assistant to a transaction layer for consumer commerce. While Meta recently launched a connector platform to facilitate more third-party integrations, some competitors, including Amazon, have blocked the Muse agent from their sites. The current rollout targets grocery and travel as primary utility cases, allowing users to move from product discovery to checkout without leaving the AI interface.
