The software, developed by Meta, hit the top of the regional productivity rankings within 24 hours of launch. This release also introduced a Mac application and a developer platform enabling integrations with tools like Notion and Granola, while an Android version is planned for future release.

Alexandr Wang stated that the agent is designed to complete tasks end to end by interacting with data through a user's MCP or CLI. To protect user privacy, the system filters out sensitive recovery emails and one-time passwords before processing information. Early adoption of the assistant's capabilities has prompted comparisons to other AI tools such as Grok Bot.
