The maker of Ozempic is integrating AI models across its research and development and software engineering teams to accelerate the search for new medications. Novo Nordisk and Anthropic will build tools for biological reasoning to solve discovery problems identified by the pharmaceutical company's computational scientists. No financial terms were disclosed for the collaboration.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei stated the objective is to compress a century of biological and medical breakthroughs into a decade. Novo CEO Mike Doustdar described the initiative as part of a push to become the most AI-driven healthcare company in the world, adding to the company's existing AI partnerships.
