Perplexity joins Nvidia’s Open Secure AI Alliance and releases two new open-source security tools. The company introduced Bumblebee, a client-side scanner for vulnerabilities on macOS and Linux, and BrowseSafe, a benchmark designed to protect AI agents from prompt injection during web sessions.
The expansion adds inference software vLLM and security startup Factory AI to the coalition, which Nvidia launched last week following a security breach at Hugging Face. The Hugging Face incident prompted the creation of the alliance after closed AI security tools reportedly blocked forensic analysis during the attack.
