The dialogue follows President Donald Trump's public rejection of calls from industry leaders to slow the pace of AI development, citing the need to maintain a technological advantage over China. House Speaker Mike Johnson has also proposed summoning frontier AI companies to the White House to coordinate safety standards and balance national security with corporate responsibility.
