Users in the United States can now manage download folders and summarize messages using the standalone macOS application of Muse. Released Sept. 17, the software integrates with local files, calendars, and notes to automate system tasks and locate lost documents. Owners control the agent's access levels and must provide explicit permission before the AI performs sensitive operations.

The rollout implements "Computer Use" functionality, allowing Meta's AI agent to interact with the computer interface rather than operating solely within a chat window. This desktop integration enables the assistant to coordinate data across multiple native Mac applications and perform actions directly on the host machine's operating system.
