Zhipu has completed construction and begun partial operations of a 1GW data center that runs exclusively on Chinese-made chips.

The facility will train next-generation GLM models without relying on Nvidia silicon restricted by U.S. export controls. The site houses computing clusters with more than 10,000 processors each.
