A leaked internal document reveals Oracle eliminated a portion of its America Cloud Infrastructure workforce, affecting 7.6% of the 7,185 listed employees. Total cuts reached 546 people, with software developers representing 17% of the layoffs and the Software Developer III role seeing 57 cuts. Manager roles accounted for 128 of the reductions, or 23%, and 41 data center support positions were removed, including the division’s vice president and two senior directors.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure revenue rose 121% year over year. The software company plans to spend between $90 billion and $95 billion on data centers this year to support the ongoing expansion of its cloud services.
