Based in San Francisco, the institution raised $42 million in funding from investors including Adam D'Angelo, Tobi Lütke, and Tony Xu to ensure long term operational runway. Gagan Biyani serves as CEO, with Marc Andreessen and Erik Torenberg on the board of directors.

The Founding Class Fellowship consists of roughly 50 students starting in Fall 2027, with admissions based on a student's history of building rather than academic grades. This 1 year program is tuition free, though the school plans to offer a 2 year paid program pending regulatory approval.

Ten Founding Partners support the school's ecosystem, including OpenAI, Meta, Nvidia, Google, Anthropic, Anduril, Coinbase, Palantir, Replit, and Stripe. The curriculum features mentorship from industry leaders such as Sam Altman and Jensen Huang to train students to solve problems that require AI. The academy also includes more than 50 hiring partners and 200 mentors to integrate students into the Silicon Valley network.
