Czechia has authorized Tesla's driver-assistance software for public roads, extending the company's footprint in the European Union. Tesla Europe announced that a rollout for local customers will start soon, adding the nation to a list of approved markets including Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Lithuania, Estonia, and Slovenia.

The Czech authorization precedes an October 6 vote by the EU Technical Committee on Motor Vehicles regarding bloc-wide authorization for the system. Czechia is the 7th EU country to clear FSD Supervised, a system that requires active driver supervision while operating.
