Jensen Huang told CBS Sunday Morning that artificial intelligence became genuinely useful and token generation became "incredibly profitable" throughout 2026. The Nvidia chief urged governments to apply existing cybersecurity, product liability, and contract laws to manage AI risks before drafting new regulations. He stated that rigorous testing and monitoring allow the industry to advance at maximum speed without compromising safety.

The company has started volume production of its Vera Rubin chips, which Huang said are several years ahead of Chinese alternatives. While he maintains the U.S. should receive the most advanced hardware first, he opposes a blanket ban on AI sales to China to avoid ceding the market to competitors. Huang also apologized for the industry's pace of data center expansion without early community engagement and noted that newer facilities use less water.
