Nvidia, Microsoft, Meta and 25 other technology companies released a joint letter arguing that U.S. policymakers should avoid restricting the download and modification of open-weight artificial intelligence models. Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang published the document warning that concentrating advanced AI capabilities behind closed systems creates security risks and limits innovation.
