Brian McCarthy will head global enterprise adoption at OpenAI in a newly created executive role. The company appointed him as VP of Worldwide Sales and brought on 2 other leaders from Snowflake and SpaceX-owned Cursor to build a revenue organization that combines dealmakers and sales engineers.

McCarthy previously managed global revenue and field operations at Cursor and held senior roles at Rubrik and AppDynamics. This recruitment drive follows intensified competition with Anthropic for corporate AI budgets and comes ahead of a planned initial public offering for the San Francisco based company.
