Meta's Muse AI assistant can no longer access Amazon.com to perform shopping tasks for its users. The e-commerce company disabled the agent's access citing security risks, violations of its terms of service, and a lack of consent from merchants on the platform.

The restriction comes as Meta attempts to build a transactional ecosystem using agentic payments through a partnership with Stripe. Muse, which reached No. 1 on the App Store and recently expanded into Canada, allows developers to create connectors for the AI to interact with third party applications like Notion and Granola.
