Meta's personal AI agents can now process online checkouts and travel bookings through new partnerships with global payment and tourism platforms. The integration with PayPal allows customers to shop and complete purchases across all PayPal merchants worldwide, while the Expedia agreement enables agents to plan trips and book hotels directly within the interface.

These expanded capabilities follow a Sept. 21 deal with Shopify to enable agentic checkout using Shop Pay across all Shopify stores, a move that drove Shopify shares higher. Meta also launched its Muse connector platform to third parties on Sept. 22 to transition the AI tool from a conversational assistant into a transaction layer capable of executing real-world commerce.
