Anthropic Targets $2 Trillion Valuation in November IPO to Set Record

The AI startup will begin marketing its initial public offering in mid-October and target a listing in November before the U.S. midterm elections. Investors anticipate the company will achieve a $2 trillion valuation, with the offering potentially raising up to $100 billion. The listing date was moved from October to enable the company to incorporate third-quarter financial results in its disclosures.

Anthropic expects annualized revenue to surpass $100 billion by the end of 2026, up from $65 billion in July. These figures provide the basis for the target valuation as the firm prepares for investor meetings to discuss competitive pressure from OpenAI's Astra model and concerns over AI safety. The listing would represent one of the largest public offerings for a technology company on record.
