Advanced Micro Devices is shifting the financial burden of increased manufacturing expenses to its distribution network and customers. The chipmaker will raise prices by about 10% for AI accelerators, consumer GPUs, and motherboard chipsets in the fourth quarter to offset higher wafer costs from TSMC, according to reports from ChannelGate and Wccftech.

AMD depends on the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for the production of its advanced node CPUs and GPUs. The upcoming price adjustment transfers the rising expense of advanced node fabrication directly to business partners and consumers.
