Users of Meta's Muse AI agent can now purchase products from any Shopify merchant using Shop Pay via a new "agentic checkout" integration. This partnership allows consumers to transition from product discovery to completing the transaction without leaving the AI interface. Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke stated the collaboration offers an easy way for people to shop and check out across the platform's entire store network.

Shopify shares traded higher on Sept. 21 following the announcement. The integration follows Meta's expansion of the Muse app into Canada and the opening of a connector platform for developers to build services like Notion and Granola. Meta also collaborated with Stripe to support agentic payments, helping the app reach the No. 1 rank on the App Store.
